STATEMENT
Jessie Farnsworth's (b. 2002, Nottingham) work is driven by internal dialogue and sensory experience - a release of thought, memory, and emotion into shape, colour, and form, through painting, drawing, scribbling, and puzzle-solving. Painting is where she engages in a continuous internal conversation and her disabilities find visual articulation: vivid, layered, and rhythmic compositions emerge from a brain constantly in motion, always searching for meaning through mark-making. Music, sound, and emotional stimulus are key influences, although she's only begun to reflect on their deeper impact on her choices as a painter.
